Coca-Cola launches campaign to reward loyal customers, empower local businesses

DAR ES SALAAM: Coca-Cola has launched a dynamic new three-month campaign designed to reward loyal customers and empower local businesses by boosting sales and increasing their income.
By creating a mutually beneficial ecosystem, the initiative enhances brand engagement while supporting economic growth at the grassroots level, reflecting Coca-Cola’s commitment to community development and sustainable business practices.
Managing Director of Coca-Cola Kwanza Limited, Jonathan Jooste, said the campaign not only celebrates Coca-Cola’s loyal customer base but also empowers local businesses by boosting their sales and increasing their income.
“Through ‘Chupa la Machupa’, we are not just rewarding our loyal consumers we are also actively engaging local businesses across the country,” he said.
The three-month campaign aims to impact over 100,000 loyal consumers each week.
The campaign will roll out across the country, with Coca-Cola teams engaging both consumers and local businesses in major cities and regions including Dar es Salaam, Morogoro, Dodoma, Mbeya, Iringa, Mtwara, Songea, Njombe, Tanga, Zanzibar, Katavi, and Sumbawanga.
Looking at the scale of the campaign—with more than 35,000 stores activated across Tanzania, the campaign is expected to stimulate trade.
Retailers are energised by the opportunity to not only increase their daily sales but also to be part of a high-visibility national promotion that attracts more customers and boosts product turnover.
For small and medium-sized businesses, particularly in the informal sector, the campaign presents a valuable opportunity to grow their customer base and increase profitability.
By driving foot traffic and repeat purchases, these businesses stand to benefit from increased visibility and stronger relationships with consumers, fostering long-term loyalty and sustainability.
At a broader level, the campaign contributes positively to the national economy by stimulating local commerce and supporting job creation.
With enhanced demand for beverages and retail services, the ripple effect is expected to boost supply chains, logistics and distribution networks, reinforcing Coca-Cola’s role as a key player in Tanzania’s socio-economic development.
