Mufti Zubery calls for wisdom, discretion ahead of General Elections
DAR ES SALAAM: THE Chief Sheikh of Tanzania, Mufti Abbubakar Zubery, has urged Tanzanians to avoid misinformation and rumours as the country approaches the upcoming General Elections.
He emphasized the importance of using wisdom and discretion when receiving and sharing information to prevent misleading the public.
Mufti made this statement while receiving an iftar meal donated by the Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner’s Office for the women of the Bakwata National Women’s Association (JUWAKITA).

“We are living in times of widespread deceit, hypocrisy, and misinformation, where people fabricate stories for their interests. It is crucial to be cautious and avoid baseless statements,” said Mufti Zubery.
He further stressed the importance of careful listening before misinterpreting others: “Someone may speak wisely and offer good guidance, but without paying attention, one may misunderstand them. Wisdom and discretion are essential for our success in life.”
Additionally, Mufti called on Tanzanians to uphold unity, respect differing opinions, and ensure peace and stability during this election period.
