Tanzania launches Journalists’ Accreditation Board
DAR ES SALAAM: THE Minister of Information, Culture, Arts, and Sports, Prof. Palamagamba Kabudi, has officially launched the Journalists’ Accreditation Board, which has been awaited since 2016.
The board aims to assist journalists in addressing their professional challenges and disputes before they reach the courts.
The launch event took place today, March 3, 2025, in Dar es Salaam, bringing together various representatives from the media sector in the country.

Speaking at the event, Minister Kabudi emphasized that the board is a crucial step in strengthening journalistic professionalism, promoting accountability, protecting journalists’ rights, and ensuring they have an avenue to resolve their issues through fair and professional means.
The event was attended by media stakeholders, journalists, and representatives from various institutions involved in the country’s media sector.
