AQRB registers 5.9bn/- projects in three years

DODOMA: THE Architects and Quantity Surveyors Registration Board (AQRB) has recorded registered projects valued at 5.9bn/- in the past three years.

According to the Board’s Registrar and Chairperson of the Workers’ Council, Mr Edwin Nnunduma, the number of registered professionals has also grown from 75 to 279 in just three years.

“The Board has been strengthening accountability and transparency in revenue collection and financial expenditure across all its activities,” he said during the 11th Workers’ Council meeting held in Dodoma on Monday.

Speaking at the event, Board Chairperson Dr Ludigija Bulamilea emphasised the need for continuous professional development to boost the industry’s competitiveness.

He urged staff to enhance their expertise and gain more experience to compete both nationally and internationally.

“The Board of Directors values the contribution of the management team and expects them to play a greater role in advancing the fields of architecture and quantity surveying,” he said.

Dr Bulamilea further noted that the meeting was held in accordance with Article No 7 and No 20 of the Presidential Order No 1 of 1970, alongside Section 73(1)-(3) of the Employment and Labour Relations Act No 6 of 2004 and Regulation No 108 of the Public Service Regulations of 2003
