Nsekela lands in Samia’s new appointment list

ZANZIBAR: PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has made six appointments and assigned new responsibilities to several others.

 According to a statement issued by the Chief Secretary, Ambassador Dr Moses Kusiluka, through the Director of Presidential Communication, Ms Sharifa B. Nyanga, the appointments and assignments are as follows:

Dr Amina Suleiman Msengwa has been appointed as the Chief Government Statistician. Before her appointment, she was a senior lecturer at the University of Dar es Salaam. Dr Msengwa takes over from Dr Albina Chuwa whose term has ended.

Judge Dr Ntemi Nimilwa Kilekamajenga has been appointed as the chairperson of the Capital Markets Tribunal replacing Dr  Deo John Nangela, who has been appointed as a judge of the Court of Appeal.

The President has also reappointed Professor Aurelia Kamuzora for a second term as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Coffee Board of Tanzania.

Also in the list of the appointees is Mr Abdulmajid Nsekela who has been appointed as the chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Tanzania Tea Board, taking over from Mr Mustafa Hamis Umande, whose term has ended.

Also appointed is Professor Hozen Kahesa Mayaya who is now the Director of the Institute of Rural Development Planning (IRDP). This is Professor Mayaya’s second term in the position.

President Samia has also appointed Ambassador Dr Habib Galuss Kambanga as the country’s ambassador to Rwanda.
