New Maternity pants to empower postpartum mothers

DAR ES SALAAM: In an effort help mothers regain their confidence, stay healthy, and maintain comfort as thye navigate the challenges of the postpartum period, Comfy Mummy has unveiled a new product designed to support women the Comfy Mummy maternity pants.

During a launch event in Dar es Salaam on Tuesday, Ms Irene Mville, the Marketing and Sales Director for Comfy Mummy, explained the significance of the new maternity pants, emphasizing that the product addresses a key concern many women face after childbirth.

“After giving birth, many mothers experience menstruation, which can make them feel isolated and uncomfortable. We recognized this issue and developed a product that would not only protect the mother’s health but also allow her to go about her daily activities with ease and confidence, “she said.

On his part, the Health Check Director Dr Isack Maro, also highlighted the multiple benefits of the maternity pants.

According to him, the pants act as a protective layer, worn like regular underwear, safeguarding mothers from diseases while allowing them to stay active.

“The unique fabric used in these pants prevents allergic reactions and offers superior protection by blocking water from entering. This helps keep the mother clean and comfortable, reducing stress and supporting breastfeeding by providing a sense of security,” he explained.

Among the product’s ambassadors, actress Aunt Ezekiel spoke of the relief the new maternity pants bring.

Drawing from her own experiences as a mother of two, she recalled the struggles of managing postpartum hygiene.
