NSSF scoops award as best voluntary taxpayer

DAR ES SALAAM: THE National Social Security Fund (NSSF) has been recognized by the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) as the best voluntary taxpayer in the public institutions category for the 2023/24 fiscal year.

This prestigious award is part of TRA’s ongoing efforts to acknowledge the critical contributions of taxpayers to Tanzania’s national development.

The accolade underscores NSSF’s exceptional revenue contributions during the year, as well as its strict compliance with tax regulations.

Notably, the fund has maintained a clean record, free of any fraud or tax evasion during the period under review.

The award ceremony, held in Dar es Salaam on January 23, 2025, was officiated by the President Samia Suluhu Hassan.

NSSF was represented at the event by its Director of Finance, Mr Yahya Ally, who accepted the award on behalf of the Director General, Mr Masha Mshomba.

The recognition highlights NSSF’s commitment to adhering to tax laws and contributing meaningfully to Tanzania’s socio-economic development.
