MO applauds club unity and stakeholder teamwork

DAR ES SALAAM: SIMBA SC Board Chairman, Mohammed Dewji has commended the unity and collective effort of the club’s stakeholders, describing it as a key factor behind the team’s successful qualification for the CAF Confederation Cup quarter-finals.

Expressing his delight and gratitude, Dewji alias MO shared a message on his official Instagram account, congratulating the club for reaching this significant milestone.

“I want to take this opportunity to commend everyone for the solidarity and achievements we are witnessing,” Dewji said.

He emphasised that Simba’s success is the result of a unified effort from a broad and diverse community, including the players, fans, leadership and government.

“Simba is not the work of one person; it is the result of the collective efforts of the entire family players, fans, leaders and our government,” Dewji explained.

Looking ahead, Dewji urged the Simba family to maintain the same energy and determination that carried them to this stage as they focus on the next challenge. His ultimate goal remains to clinch the continental championship.

“For now, we are focusing all our efforts on the quarter-finals and together, we have shown that our unity is our unstoppable strength,” he remarked.

He also took the opportunity to acknowledge the efforts of Simba’s board members, sponsors and technical bench, crediting their professionalism and dedication as key contributors to the club’s success.

Furthermore, Dewji highlighted the invaluable role of the fans, whose unwavering support continues to fuel the team’s achievements.

“The enthusiasm of our fans is an essential pillar for Simba’s success,” he said, adding that their passionate presence, especially at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, inspires the team to give their best on the field.

Dewji also expressed his gratitude toward the government, particularly President Samia Suluhu Hassan, for supporting sports initiatives like the “Mama’s Goal” campaign.

“We are grateful to our government, especially for standing with us and uplifting sports in the country,” he noted and concluded his message by thanking the fans for their continued enthusiasm and unwavering support.

Simba’s impressive performance, highlighted by the Sunday’s 2-0 victory over CS Constantine at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium with the match played behind closed door, saw Simba secure the top spot in their group.

This positioning allows them to face a second-placed team in the quarter-finals, in accordance with CAF regulations.
