Several trapped as building collapses in Kariakoo

DAR ES SALAAM: A COMMERCIAL building located at the intersection of Congo and Mchikichini Streets in Kariakoo, Dar es Salaam, collapsed on Saturday afternoon, leaving several people trapped.

The Fire and Rescue team is currently on the scene, working to evacuate those trapped in the rubble.

The number of fatalities remains unknown, while survivors have been rushed to hospitals for treatment.

Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner, Albert Chalamila, has also arrived at the scene.
