Embrace 4Rs philosophy, Kabudi tells investigation organs

DODOMA: THE Minister for Constitutional and Legal Affairs, Professor Palamagamba Kabudi has asked law enforcement organs in the country to embrace a 4Rs philosophy by President Samia Suluhu Hassan so as to win trust from members of the public.
The Minister made the call in Dodoma on Wednesday when opening a working meeting of leaders of the Tanzania Police Force, Tanzania Prosecution Services (TPS) and the Prevention and Combating of Corruption Bureau (PCCB).
In 2021, the three law enforcement organs entered into a tripartite agreement to work together in dealing with criminal Justice in joint efforts to ensure Tanzanians enjoy their rights while in the country.
The bold move to have a tripartite collaboration also aimed at ensuring that there was an expeditious move in investigations and prosecution of cases so that there is timely dispensation of justice.
Yesterday, the management of the three crucial organs led by PCCB Director General Chrispin Chalamila, Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), Sylvester Mwakitalu and Director of Criminal Investigation (DCI), Ramadhani Kingai (representing the Inspector General of Police–IGP), met their representatives at the regional level to assess what they have so far done in one year as well as putting up new strategies for the next year.
Attendees in yesterday meeting included Regional Crime officers (RCOs), PCCB Regional Commanders and Regional Prosecution Officers (RPOs).

According to schedule, the management conducted yet another meeting yesterday with top officials of the three law enforcement organs at the district level.
Speaking when opening the meeting, Prof Kabudi underscored the need to capitalise on the 4Rs philosophy (Reconciliation, Resilience, Reforms and Rebuilding) initiated by President Samia Suluhu Hassan.
