Commission for universities announces fourth admission window
After the completion of all three rounds of admission windows for the 2022/2023 academic year, the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) has announced an extension period for students who haven’t submitted their applications to study various university and college programmes to complete the process.
According to TCU, the window remains open from today, October 3, 2022 to October 7, 2022.
“Higher education aspirants who did not succeed in applying or getting admission in the previous rounds of application and also colleges that still have a chance of admitting more students wishing to be given more time to continue with admission process, can now make their application in a fourth window,” TCU said in a statement issued on Monday.
The Commission added in the statement that 110,608 students applied for courses have so far been admitted in the past three application windows, to join different degree programs, however there are still a total of 62,260 vacant admission slots to be filled, where TCU extended undergraduate degree admission period by opening the Fourth and final Phase.
“The Commission emphasizes that applicants who could not apply for admission or were unsuccessful in being admitted in the past due to various reasons, to use this final opportunity well to correctly make their applications for admission to the studying institutions of their choice,”
Concurrently, TCU advises all Higher Education Institutions in the country with vacant admission slots for Bachelor’s degree programs to continue advertising those programs to enable aspirants submit their applications within the set deadline.
For those with multiple admissions in the 2022/2023 academic year Bachelor’s degree applicants are also reminded to sort all matters by choosing and confirming a college or university of their choice directly at the respective colleges.
