Yanga’s Gamondi wins Coach of the month award

DAR ES SALAAM: Young Africans coach Miguel Gamondi and the team’s playmaker Maxi Nzengeli have won coach and player of the month (August) awards respectively.

According to the statement by the Tanzania Premier League Board (TPLB) on Monday, Gamondi has outclassed two other coaches Roberto Oliveira (Simba) and Hemed Morocco (Geita Gold).

It says in August, Yanga under the tutelage of Gamondi stamped a 5-0 win over KMC before replicating the same results against JKT Tanzania.

For Nzengeli who scored two goals plus providing one assist, the information states that he managed to beat two finalists of the category who are Stephanie Aziz Ki (Yanga) and Jean Baleke (Simba).

Also, the best manager award for August has been clinched by Manungu Complex Manager Godfrey Komba.
