NVeP, Barrick support Buhangija special needs school

Nos Vies en Partage Foundation (NVeP) in collaboration with Barrick Gold Corporation have partnered to donate 10,000 US dollars (23m/-) to Buhangija Primary School for special needs children to improve its learning environment.

The NVeP was established by Barrick President and CEO, Mr Mark Bristow, to support special groups like women, children and others which are benefitting less from Africa’s economic growth.

General Manager at Barrick’s Bulyanhulu Mine, Cheick Sangare said NVeP has been providing productive donations quarterly to support needy communities.

“NVeP has provided support to over 10 institutions in the country that deal directly with special groups.

“And here at Buhangija school for children with special needs we have come to make a difference through 10,000 US dollars to improve their learning environment,” he said.

The school is accommodating children with albinism, vision and hearing impaired.
