Simba beat Ihefu to keep title race wide open

Simba SC have blown the Premier League title race wide open after a 2-0 win over Ihefu.

The game at Highland Estates Stadium in Mbarali, Mbeya on Monday afternoon has seen Jean Baleke sealing a late brace.

He made a breakthrough in the 84th minute before netting a second two minutes later courtesy of a bicycle kick.

With the triumph, Simba are now 5 points away from catching up leaders Young Africans.

They have collected 60 points in 25 matches hence putting themselves on the right place to splint for the championship.

The Reds are the only team in the top four of the league to win at Highland Estates venue where Yanga and Azam lost while Singida Big Stars stamped a draw.

However, an eight-point gap at the top of the log could be re-created if Yanga win against Kagera Sugar at Azam Complex in the city tomorrow.
