Samia mourns 32 road accident victims in Morogoro

ZANZIBAR: PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has sent messages of condolence following the deaths of 32 people, including three police officers, in two separate road accidents that occurred in Morogoro Region on the night of October 8, 2026.

President Samia sent the condolence messages to Morogoro Regional Commissioner Queen Sendiga and Inspector General of Police Camillus Wambura.

In her messages, the President extended her condolences to the families, relatives and friends of those who lost their loved ones, wishing them strength, patience and comfort during this difficult period of mourning. She also wished all those injured a speedy recovery.

President Samia urged the Tanzania Police Force to continue enforcing road safety laws. She also called on drivers and other road users to exercise caution and comply with traffic regulations to prevent avoidable accidents.

The President prayed for the deceased to rest in eternal peace.
