KCB and ZHSF sign stratergic patnership to enhance access to health care services in zanzibar

ZANZIBAR: KCB Bank Tanzania and the Zanzibar Health Service Fund (ZHSF) have today signed a Strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen healthcare service delivery in Zanzibar through innovative financial and technology-driven solutions.
The partnership establishes a framework for collaboration in key areas including member registration and enrolment, payment collection, banking and settlement services, technology integration, and the development of tailored financial solutions that support ZHSF’s mandate of strengthening healthcare financing and expanding access to quality healthcare services.
Speaking during the signing ceremony held at KCB Bank Tanzania Headquarters, Mr. Cosmas Kimario, Managing Director of KCB Bank Tanzania, said the partnership demonstrates the Bank’s commitment to working with institutions that are addressing real challenges and improving the lives of communities through innovation.

Speaking at the signing, Mr. Heri Marwa, the Director General of the Zanzibar Health Service Fund (ZHSF), said the partnership marks an important step in the Fund’s efforts to modernize its operations and improve the experience of its members.

broader mandate of ensuring that the people of Zanzibar have access to quality and affordable healthcare,” said the ZHSF Director General.
The partnership is expected to enhance convenience for ZHSF members by supporting more efficient registration and payment processes, strengthening settlement systems and enabling greater use of technology across the healthcare financing ecosystem.
