Dar braces for Power & Energy Tanzania Expok
DAR ES SALAAM: THE 10th Power & Energy Tanzania 2026 and the 10th Solarexpo Tanzania 2026 is expected to take place from October 7th to 9th this year at the Diamond Jubilee Expo Centre in Dar es Salaam.
According to information from the organisers, the largest and most influential exhibitions for the power, energy, and solar sectors in the East African region will bring together the entire value chain under one roof.
Additionally, organisers stated that the event will be inaugurated by the Deputy Minister for Energy, Salome Makamba.
The event will bring together global manufacturers, suppliers and investors in the energy sector, providing a unique platform for networking, partnership and growth.
Moreover, the opening ceremony is expected to draw ambassadors, government officials, financiers and senior representatives from utilities and energy regulators, underlining the strategic importance of the sector to Tanzania’s continued development.
The exhibitions have strong support from local and regional trade and energy authorities, including the Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TanTrade), the Tanzania Energy Association (TEA), NCD, and the Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority (TISEZA), reflecting their importance to the development and modernization of East Africa’s energy infrastructure.
Moreover, the exhibitions will feature over 160 exhibitors from more than 25 countries, showcasing the latest products, equipment and innovations in energy generation, transmission, solar technology and renewable energy solutions.
Participating countries will include China, India, Tanzania, Kenya, Thailand, UK, UAE, Egypt and many more from across Asia, Africa and Europe, underscoring the truly international scale of participation at this edition.
This edition’s exhibitor line-up features a strong mix of international and regional players, including Sanney Power, Adaptive Engineering P Ltd, Vijay Transmission Private Limited, Shandong Tailai Electric Co., Ltd, Opera Energy Pvt Ltd, Beijing UH Exhibition Service Co., Ltd, Guangdong Lvtopsun New Energy Co., Ltd, Collective Energy Africa, Novasys Greenergy Limited and Symphony Distributors Limited and many others.
“The exhibitions are expected to draw a wide cross-section of trade visitors, including utility and grid operators, independent power producers, EPC contractors, solar installers and system integrators, government and regulatory officials, financiers and investors, and procurement teams from across Tanzania and neighbouring markets — making it a valuable meeting point for buyers and sellers alike,” a statement from the organisers stated.
Tanzania continues to make significant strides in expanding access to electricity and integrating renewable energy, backed by ongoing grid expansion, rural electrification programmes and growing private-sector investment in solar and off-grid solutions.
“With demand for reliable, affordable power rising across the region, the 10th Power & Energy Tanzania 2026 and 10th Solar Energy Tanzania 2026 arrive at an opportune time for industry stakeholders to engage, form new partnerships and invest in the country’s energy future.
