Airtel takes high-speed internet to Goba, Mushono

DAR ES SALAAM: Airtel Tanzania has expanded its Fiber network to Goba in Dar es Salaam and Mushono in Arusha, opening high-speed internet access to more homes and businesses in the two areas.**

The expansion comes as demand for reliable connectivity rises, with households and businesses increasingly relying on the internet for work, education, communication, digital services and business operations.

Speaking in Dar es Salaam on Wednesday, Airtel Tanzania Head of Regional Sales, James Moilo, said the expansion is part of the company’s investment in bringing high-speed connectivity closer to customers.

“The expansion of Airtel Fiber to Goba in Dar es Salaam and Mushono in Arusha will give more households and businesses access to reliable, high-speed internet,” Mr Moilo said.

According to Mr Moilo, improved connectivity will help businesses run daily operations, engage customers and access online platforms, while enabling individuals and families to work, learn and access services from home.

The expansion follows continued growth in internet use in Tanzania, with recent Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA) data showing rising demand for data and connectivity.

Airtel Tanzania said the rollout forms part of its continued investment in digital infrastructure and supports the country’s growing digital economy.

The company said the expansion also advances its “Airtel Kila Kona” promise by taking connectivity closer to customers in more communities.

With Goba and Mushono added to its Fiber network, Airtel pledged to continue expanding connectivity to homes, entrepreneurs and businesses across the country.
