Samia appoints public institution leaders

DODOMA: PRESIDENT Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan has appointed new leaders to several public institutions, including Mr Hamis Mkunga as Secretary of the Public Service Recruitment Secretariat (PSRS). Mr Mkunga succeeds Mr Mick Kiliba, whose term of office has expired.

According to a statement issued yesterday by the Directorate of Presidential Communication, the appointments are aimed at filling leadership positions whose previous office holders have completed their terms. Prof Alfred Sife has been appointed Chairman of the National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA), replacing Prof William Anangisye, whose term has ended.

Retired Justice Wilfred Peter Dyansobera has been appointed Chairman of the Commission for Mediation and Arbitration (CMA), succeeding Mr Edriss Mavura, whose term has also ended. Meanwhile, Engineer Abdallah Mkufunzi has been reappointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Water Fund for a second term.

Dr Henry Mwanyika has been appointed Chairman of the Board of the Tanzania Information and Communication Technologies Commission (ICT Commission), replacing Prof Leonard Mselle, whose term has ended. Prof John Lupala has also been appointed Chairman of the National Land Use Planning Commission.
