Mabula starts new chapter in Algeria

DAR ES SALAAM: TANZANIAN midfielder Alphonce Mabula has joined Algerian giants JS Kabylie, marking another step in the 23-year-old’s growing career abroad. JS Kabylie confirmed the signing on their social media platforms, describing Mabula as a recruit and welcoming the Tanzania international to the club based in Tizi-Ouzou.

“From Tanzania to Tizi-Ouzou, a new chapter begins,” the club said in its message welcoming the midfielder. Mabula, who operates as a defensive midfielder, joins JS Kabylie after a spell with Azerbaijani club Shamakhi, continuing a journey that has seen him build experience across several European leagues. “New chapter, same focus.

Before moving to Azerbaijan, he featured for Serbian sides FK Spartak Subotica and RFK Novi Sad 1921, starting his overseas career after making his name at Tanzanian club Alliance FC.

His move to JS Kabylie further raises the profile of a player who has steadily developed his career away from home, with his role in the middle of the pitch built around defensive work, ball recovery and linking defence with attack.

At 23, Mabula now faces a new challenge in Algeria, where he will be expected to compete for a place in a side with a strong domestic and continental pedigree.
