Ndejembi presents BPS report on Tanzania’s energy security amid the geopolitical crisis

DODOMA: THE Minister for Energy, Deogratius Ndejembi, has presented the Ministry of Energy’s report on the National Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) Strategy and energy security in the country to the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Energy and Minerals.

Minister Ndejembi presented the report in Dodoma before the committee, which is chaired by Subira Mgalu, with Simon Songe Lusengekile serving as Vice Chairperson. The presentation is part of efforts to strengthen energy security and ensure a reliable supply of petroleum products in the country.\

The committee also received and discussed the Ministry of Energy’s report on the implementation of the Bulk Procurement System (BPS) and measures being taken to ensure a reliable supply of petroleum products for various uses across the country.

The meeting was attended by members of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Energy and Minerals, Deputy Minister for Energy Salome Makamba, Permanent Secretary responsible for Oil and Gas at the Ministry of Energy, Dr James Mataragio, as well as experts from the Ministry and its affiliated institutions.
