Saudi-Tanzania Business Council seeks investment opportunities in Tanzania’s livestock sector

MOROGORO: A delegation from the Saudi Arabia-Tanzania Business Council, led by Co-Chairman Engineer Abdulrahmani Al-Thubaiti, visited the Nguru Hills Ranch Meat Processing Plant in Morogoro Region on August 20, 2026, to assess investment and trade opportunities in Tanzania’s livestock sector.
During the visit, Engineer Al-Thubaiti expressed satisfaction with the plant’s operations, noting that it adheres to internationally recognized quality standards. He said Saudi Arabia is committed to further strengthening economic cooperation with Tanzania, particularly in increasing production, adding value to livestock products, and expanding access to international markets.
The General Manager of Nguru Hills Ranch, Noel Tuga, said Tanzania offers a stable, secure and investor-friendly environment. He added that meat produced in the country is of high quality and has the potential to compete effectively in international markets.

The visit is part of broader efforts to strengthen economic diplomacy between Tanzania and Saudi Arabia. Overall, the visit highlights Tanzania’s potential to leverage economic diplomacy to attract capital, technology and new markets while strengthening the livestock value chain and enhancing the competitiveness of Tanzanian products in international markets.
