CCM, Namibiaβs SWAPO agree to broaden their long-standing ties in leadership training

ZANZIBAR: CHAMA Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) and Namibiaβs ruling party, SWAPO are seeking to deepen their longstanding ties through expanded leadership training for youth and women, as well as stronger cooperation between the two political parties.
The commitment was made during talks between CCM Secretary General, Ambassador Dr Asha-Rose Migiro, and her SWAPO counterpart, Ms Sophia Shaningwa, at the CCM Central Office in Kisiwandui, Zanzibar.
The two leaders discussed ways of strengthening the historical relationship between CCM and SWAPO, with emphasis on developing leadership skills among youth and women and enhancing cooperation between institutions of the two parties.

According to information from CCM, the two leaders also explored opportunities for greater economic cooperation, underscoring the importance of deepening solidarity among liberation movements in Southern Africa.
