RC calls for stronger private sector partnership
DODOMA: DODOMA Regional Commissioner Rosemary Senyamule has called on public leaders and civil servants to embrace the private sector as a key partner in implementing the National Development Vision 2050 and accelerating economic transformation.
Speaking while closing a meeting to review regional performance at the Regional Commissioner’s Office recently, Ms Senyamule said changing attitudes towards the private sec – tor is essential to achieving the country’s long-term development goals.
The meeting also reviewed development projects, implementation of the 2025/26 budget and preparations for Samia Day 2026, scheduled for September.
She said the sixth phase government under President Samia Suluhu Hassan is committed to empowering Tanzanians to take a leading role in the economy through domestic investment and stronger public-private partnerships.

“We must change our perception and recognise the private sector as our development partner. Through Vision 2050, we will continue to welcome both local and foreign investors who will contribute capital, technology, employment opportunities, tax revenue and economic growth,” Ms Senyamule said.
She noted that Dodoma is steadily strengthening its position as the country’s emerging logistics and commercial hub, driven by strategic infrastructure investments that are improving connectivity and attracting investors.
According to the Regional Commissioner, the recently completed Inland Dry Port and the ongoing construction of Msalato International Airport will enhance cargo handling, transport efficiency and regional trade, making Dodoma an increasingly attractive investment destination.
“These strategic projects are creating a favourable investment environment by simplifying the movement of goods and opening up new business opportunities. Our goal is to ensure Dodoma becomes a competitive destination for investment and trade,” she said.
Ms Senyamule reaffirmed the regional administration’s commitment to improving the business environment by facilitating investment and supporting enterprises to expand, create jobs and contribute to economic growth.
