President Chapo to visit Tanzania for bilateral talks and 50th DITF
DAR ES SALAAM: THE President of the Republic of Mozambique, Daniel Francisco Chapo, is expected to arrive in Tanzania this evening for a working visit aimed at strengthening the long-standing ties of friendship, good neighbourliness and cooperation between the two countries.
According to a statement issued on today by the Directorate of Presidential Communications at State House, President Chapo will hold bilateral talks with his host, President Samia Suluhu Hassan, at State House in Dar es Salaam.
The discussions are expected to focus on enhancing bilateral relations and exploring opportunities to deepen cooperation in key areas, including trade, investment and socio-economic development.
During his visit, President Chapo will also serve as the Guest of Honour at the official opening of the 50th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF), popularly known as Sabasaba, scheduled to take place on July 3, 2026, at the Julius Nyerere International Trade Fair Grounds in Dar es Salaam.
The working visit underscores the enduring historical ties between Tanzania and Mozambique and reflects the two nations’ shared commitment to strengthening regional cooperation, economic partnership and mutual development.

President Chapo made his last visit to Tanzania in May 2025, where the visit aimed at strengthening diplomatic relations and economic cooperation between Tanzania and Mozambique.
