Ally: Dar City Were Better Than JKT

DAR ES SALAAM: ALLY Abdallah has said his team is delighted with its convincing 62-33 victory over JKT, describing the win as significant because JKT is one of the strongest opponents they regularly face in the Dar es Salaam Regional Basketball League.

Speaking after the match Ally said that although JKT put up a determined fight, Dar City proved to be the superior side throughout the game.

“We are very happy with this victory over JKT because they are one of the teams that always give us a tough challenge in the regional league. They played to the best of their ability, but we were simply the better team,” Ally said.

Meanwhile, JKT player Jackson Brown praised Dar City, saying they are a well-balanced and highly competitive team. He attributed his side’s defeat to the inexperience of several young players, noting that many of the team’s senior players are currently away on military duties.

“Dar City is a complete team in every department. We have many new, inexperienced players, while several of our veteran players are serving in various military assignments. However, we expect to become much stronger once they return,” Brown said.
