Tanzania-Egypt Investment Forum moves to bolster investment opportunities in tourism, trade

CAIRO: THE Tanzanian government has participated in the opening of the Tourism, Trade and Investment Forum between Tanzania and Egypt taking place in Cairo, bringing together government leaders, tourism institutions, businessmen, investors and various stakeholders from the two countries with the aim of strengthening cooperation and promoting trade, investment and tourism opportunities.

The forum has been organized under the theme of promoting relations between the Mediterranean and Indian Oceans through markets, tourism, trade and investment, providing an opportunity for stakeholders to discuss various areas of cooperation that are beneficial to both parties.

At the forum, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism together with the Tanzania Tourism Board (TTB) participated in a discussion where participants discussed opportunities for cooperation in the tourism, trade and investment sectors between Tanzania and Egypt.

In addition, participants had the opportunity to witness various videos promoting tourism attractions in Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar as well as hold business meetings (B2B) and discussions aimed at establishing and strengthening cooperation between private sector stakeholders from Tanzania and Egypt.

The forum was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade,Dennis Londo, the Deputy Minister of Tourism and Antiquities in Egypt, Yomna El Bahar, the Tanzanian Ambassador to Egypt, Major General Richard Makanzo, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism, Dr Hassan Abbasi and various other government leaders from both countries.
