TAGCO opens 2026 conference to strengthen communication on Vision 2050

MWANZA: THE 2026 Government Communication Officers Conference has officially commenced today at Malaika Hotel in Mwanza, bringing together government communication professionals from various institutions across the country.

The conference is being held under the theme: “One Nation. One Voice. Communicating Vision 2050”, with the objective of strengthening government communication in explaining and promoting the implementation of the National Development Vision 2050 to citizens.

Over the next several days, participants will have the opportunity to discuss strategic issues related to government communication, including the use of data and evidence in communication, combating misinformation and disinformation, and enhancing Tanzania’s image at both national and international levels.

The conference has been organized by the Tanzania Association of Government Communication Officers (TAGCO) and is currently taking place in Mwanza.
