FDI President hails Dental Product Expo as a major achievement for EAC bloc

DAR ES SALAAM: THE President of the World Dental Federation (FDI), Dr. Nikolai Sharkov,has elaborated  the ongoing exhibition of dental products and oral healthcare services as a major achievement for Tanzania and the wider East African region.

He made the remarks today, May 28,2026, during the International exhibition being held in Dar es Salaam, where dental professionals, companies, and stakeholders gathered to promote advancements in oral healthcare.

According to the association president, the event reflects the growing progress of the dental sector in the region and highlights Tanzania’s commitment to improving healthcare services through innovation and collaboration.

The exhibition has attracted participants from several countries, providing a platform for experts and industry leaders to showcase modern dental treatment technologies, advanced equipment, and improved oral healthcare services.

Organizers said the event is expected to strengthen regional cooperation in the healthcare sector while creating opportunities for knowledge sharing, investment, and the adoption of modern dental practices across East Africa
