PM calls on workers to maintain patience when facing challenges in their duties

NJOMBE: PRIME Minister Mwigulu Nchemba has called on workers in the country to maintain patience and avoid discouragement when facing challenges in the execution of their duties.
Speaking today, Friday, May 1, 2026, during the national celebrations of International Workers’ Day held in Njombe Region, Nchemba said resilience is a key foundation that enables workers to continue delivering quality services to citizens.
Addressing workers at the event, Dr Nchemba cited the final match of the Union Cup between Simba and Yanga as an example, noting that even in sports there are important lessons on perseverance and not giving up.

He observed that some workers have developed a tendency of giving up even in minor workplace challenges, a situation he said is not acceptable given that citizens depend on their services for daily development needs.
The Prime Minister stressed the importance of continued patience and dedication in workplaces to ensure citizens receive timely and quality services.
“There has been a tendency of discouragement at work even over small issues. I urge workers to be patient at their workplaces because citizens depend on their services,” he said.
