500 participants head to brighten Zanzibar Investment Festival

DAR ES SALAAM: ZANZIBAR Minister of Labour and Investment, Shariff Ali Shariff has said that the Zanzibar Investment Festival 2026 will begin from June 03 to 05, 2026 in the Zanzibar islands where there will be 500 participants including international investors, policymakers, big businessmen and development stakeholders.
Speaking to journalists in Dar es Salaam, he said the festival will be held at the Golden Tulip Airport Zanzibar and is expected to gather more than
while aiming to open new opportunities in various sectors such as the blue economy, health, air travel, manufacturing, maritime transport and high-end tourism.

He said the second festival is expected to be an important platform to promote investment and strengthen the economy of Zanzibar and Tanzania in general, bringing together local and foreign investors.
He also called on Tanzanians, businessmen and development stakeholders to participate fully.
Zanzibar Investment Promotion Authority (ZIPA) Executive Director, Saleh Saad Mohammed, said the Zanzibar Investment Festival 2025 was a great success after several agreements were signed and the registration of investment projects increased, a move that shows the improvement of the business and investment environment in the islands.

For his part,Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority (TISEZA) Director General, Gilead Teri, said cooperation between investment institutions in Mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar has improved and continues to yield positive results in attracting investment. He stressed the importance of increasing the participation of local investors to ensure that the benefits of investment benefit more Tanzanians.
