Tanzania deepens ties with Eswatini as the Kingdom celebrates King Msati’s 58th birthday

EZULWINI: THE Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, responsible for East African affairs, James Millya, represented President Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan at the 40th Anniversary Celebrations of the Reign of King Mswati III held at the Somhlolo National Stadium in Ezulwini, Eswatini.
During the celebrations, which coincided with the 58th anniversary of the birth of King Mswati III, the achievements of his reign and the national solidarity of the people of Eswatini were highlighted.
King Mswati III, in his speech, explained how the country has made developmental strides, especially in the infrastructure, health, industry, and technology, and improving the level of education for the people of Eswatini.
In addition, King Mswati III emphasized unity and solidarity with regional countries and Africa in general.
The celebrations included various events including a special parade for the celebrations, various entertainments such as traditional dances and shows of respect for the leader.
The visit to Eswatini is part of strengthening diplomatic relations and opening new opportunities for cooperation between Tanzania and the Kingdom of Eswatini.
Senior leaders who participated in the celebrations were the President of Mozambique, Daniel Chapo, the President of Zimbabwe, Emmerson Mnangagwa, the President of Botswana, Duma Boko, the King of Lesotho, King Letsie III, retired President of South Africa Jacob Zuma as well as the Ambassador of Tanzania to Eswatini with his residence in Mozambique, Hamad Khamis Hamad.
