Dr Mwinyi affirms Zanzibar’s readiness for the music festival hosted by the Italian Embassy

ZANZIBAR: ZANZIBAR President, Dr Hussein Ali Mwinyi, has said Zanzibar is ready to develop cultural cooperation, including hosting a music festival hosted by the Italian Embassy in Tanzania that will bring various artists from Italy.

Dr Mwinyi also thanked the Italian government for continuing to strengthen historical and diplomatic relations with Zanzibar, especially in the tourism and social development sectors.

Speaking today at the State House in Zanzibar, when he met with the Italian Ambassador to Tanzania, Giuseppe Sean Coppola.

In addition, President Mwinyi said the increase in flights by the Italian airline NEOS will stimulate the growth of the tourism sector and increase the number of tourists in the country.

For his part, Ambassador Coppola has commended the developmental steps being taken by the Zanzibar Government, including infrastructure improvements, and noted that the EU-Tanzania Business Forum, expected to be held in Dar es Salaam, will open up more investment opportunities and boost the economy.
