Samsung spreads its wings in Dodoma to power Dira 2050

DODOMA: As Tanzania eyes an inclusive and digitally powered economy through the National Development Vision 2050, Samsung Electronics East Africa has officially unveiled a new Samsung Brand Store in Dodoma to support these goals with AI-powered electronic devices.

A statement released in Dodoma on Thursday said the new store is part of Samsung’s continued effort to bring its products and services closer to customers across Tanzania.

The newly launched capital city store is designed to give customers a complete Samsung experience in one place. It brings together mobile devices and home electronics in a single space, allowing Tanzanians to see how the products work together to create a modern, connected experience.

Speaking at the launch, Head of Mobile Experience Sales at Samsung Electronics East Africa (Tanzania), Mgope Kiwanga, said the initiative reflects Samsung’s long-term commitment to expanding innovation for consumers in the Tanzanian market.

“This is an important step for us, as we want more customers to easily access our products and experience how they work together to make everyday life simpler and more connected,” he said.

The Samsung Brand Store is set up to give customers a more hands-on and interactive experience. Visitors can explore the latest Samsung Galaxy smartphones, tablets, wearables, TVs, home appliances, and accessories, while seeing how different devices connect and work together. Customers can also try out products in-store, get help from trained Samsung staff, and access after-sales support. The aim is to ensure that customers not only buy products but also understand how to use them fully.

According to Kiwanga, the opening of this store in Dodoma demonstrates Samsung’s confidence in the Tanzanian market, as such investments help improve access to technology, create jobs, and support skills development.
