NLD’s presidential candidate expresses strong trust in the Commission of Inquiry
DAR ES SALAAM: THE former presidential candidate for the National League for Democracy (NLD), Doyo Hassan Doyo, has expressed strong confidence in the commission investigating violence linked to the October 29, 2025, General Elections.
Doyo said he has high expectations that the commission, chaired by the former Chief Justice, Mohammed Othman Chande, will deliver a credible and comprehensive report that meets public expectations.

According to Mr Doyo, his optimism stems from the calibre of members appointed to the commission, which includes retired judges, former ministers and senior retired security officials with extensive experience and professionalism.
He added that given the expertise and integrity of the team, Tanzanians should expect findings that will provide clarity on the incidents of violence that occurred during and after the polls, and help guide future electoral processes.
