Two motorcyclists perish in a train accident

TABORA: TWO motorcycle taxi (bodaboda) operators have died in Tabora Region after being hit by a train in Malolo Ward, Tabora Municipality, earlier today, April 14, 2026.

The accident occurred at a railway crossing in Miyemba Street, where witnesses reported that the riders attempted to cross the railway without taking sufficient precautions as a train was approaching.

The Miyemba Street leadership stated that there has been negligence among some road users who ignore warning signs at the crossing, contributing to repeated accidents in the area.

Tabora Regional Police are continuing with investigations into the incident, while urging the public to exercise greater caution when crossing railway lines to prevent avoidable accidents.
