Tanzania assures petroleum station owners it has sufficient fuel reserves

DAR ES SALAAM: THE Minister for Energy, Deogratias Ndejembi, has met and held discussions with the Tanzania Petroleum Station Owners Association (TAPSOA), led by its Secretary General, Agustino Mmasi, to discuss various issues, including the procedures for fuel supply in the country.

The discussions took place in Dar es Salaam, where participants also exchanged information on fuel sales trends at stations across different regions of Tanzania.

During the meeting, Minister Ndejembi emphasized that the country has sufficient fuel reserves and urged citizens to avoid panic caused by individuals with malicious intent spreading misinformation on social media.

The meeting was also attended by the Ministry of Energy’s Secretary General in charge of Oil and Gas, Dr  James Mataragio, experts from the Ministry of Energy, and the Chief Executive Officer of EWURA, Dr James Mwainyekule.
