Tanzania sees good progress in projects being implemented by security institutions

MBEYA: THE Deputy Minister for Home Affairs, Ayoub Mohammed Mahmoud, has expressed satisfaction with the progress of development projects being implemented by security institutions under the ministry after inspecting five ongoing projects in Songwe District in the Mbeya Region.
The projects he inspected involve the construction of key infrastructure for security institutions. These include the Regional Police Commander’s Office (RPC), the Regional Fire and Rescue Force Commander’s Office (RFO), the Regional Prisons Officer’s Office (RPO), and the Regional Immigration Office (RIO). The projects also include the construction of a Police Force dispensary aimed at improving healthcare services for police officers and surrounding communities.

Concluding his inspection tour, Mahmoud urged contractors implementing the projects to speed up construction. He emphasized the importance of ensuring the projects are completed on time once funds become available so that they can begin delivering services to citizens and security personnel.
He also assured officials from the security institutions that the Ministry of Home Affairs Tanzania, will continue to cooperate with them in addressing any challenges that may arise during the implementation of the projects. According to Mahmoud, such cooperation will help ensure development projects are completed on schedule and strengthen the delivery of security services to the public.
