Dr Samia is set for talks with UN Tourism in the UAE

DUBAI: PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has today, February 3, 2026, begun a working visit to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, holding high-level engagements with international leaders and global stakeholders aimed at strengthening economic diplomacy and attracting foreign direct investment.

According to information from the State House, as part of the President’s first-day programme, she is scheduled to meet with the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Gaston Browne.

Additionally, the President will hold bilateral talks with the Secretary-General of the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UN Tourism), Shaikha Al Nuwais.

The meetings form part of Tanzania’s broader strategy to deepen international cooperation, promote tourism development and position the country as a competitive destination for global investment.

Moreover, later in the day, President Samia is expected to participate in the launch of the Global Africa Investment Summit (GAIS), an investment platform designed to connect bankable African projects with international investors.

GAIS is being implemented alongside the World Governments Summit (WGS) policy discussions to translate high-level policy dialogue into tangible investment outcomes across the African continent.
