Solicitor General’s Office sets performance strategies

DODOMA: THE Solicitor General’s Office has held a management meeting to assess performance to analyze the implementation report and plan new performance strategies.
The Attorney General, Dr Ally Possi, speaking in Dodoma said the meeting was held to ensure that the Office conducts litigation and arbitration proceedings effectively and efficiently both domestically and internationally on behalf of the Government and its institutions.

In addition, the office has conducted a performance assessment during the first half of the 2025/26 Financial Year and planned to carry out its duties during the period from January 2026 to June 2026.
“This meeting is strategic, the aim is to plan to carry out the legal duties of the Office considering that this meeting is held towards the climax of the Law Week celebrated annually in early February, 2026,” emphasized Dr Possi.
Dr Possi added that the Office is determined to open other Offices in Katavi, Geita, Singida regions to bring services closer to the citizens and has urged members of the Office’s management to continue using IT systems in their work.

And the Deputy Solicitor General, Alice Mtulo, speaking on behalf of the Office’s management, has assured Dr Possi that since the new year has begun and the Office is entering the second half of the Financial Year, members of the management will continue to carry out their duties on time.
The meeting is held once a year to give enough time for members of the Office’s management to report on their performance and the duties planned to be implemented for the second half of the Financial Year 2025/26.
