Local investment in Geita impresses TISEZA

GEITA: THE Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority (TISEZA) has commended good progress in the local investment after visiting the Lenny Hotel Project worth more than 2bn/- in the Bombambili area, Geita Region.

The project owned by a local investor known as Leonard Kiganga was officially registered on November 6, 2024, and is expected to create at least 200 jobs for Tanzanians.

TISEZA’s visit at the project is part of its outreach programme to identify, recognize, and support projects by Tanzanian investors.

The visit aimed to inform investors about various investment opportunities and tax incentives offered by the government to local investors.

Speaking during the visit, Geita Regional Commissioner Martine Shigella stated that the government continues to prioritize Tanzanians in investment initiatives in various ways, including setting aside designated investment areas in regions and providing free land for the construction of factories and large-scale strategic projects.

TISEZA reaffirmed that investment incentives are increasingly reaching local investors, particularly in the service and production sectors, to enhance the national economy and expand employment opportunities.
