Traders urged to take responsibility for waste management

DODOMA: TRADERS operating in markets across Dodoma City have been urged to take responsibility for waste management in their business areas instead of waiting for enforcement by leaders.
Sabasaba Market Supervisor, Mr Gaudencet Temba made on Monday following a weekly environmental clean-up exercise conducted on Saturday at the Miti Mirefu area.
Mr Temba said environmental cleanliness should be a daily responsibility for every trader, stressing that a clean environment is essential for public health and smooth business operations.
He urged traders and residents to work closely with waste collection companies and community groups assigned to remove garbage in their respective areas to ensure the city remains clean and healthy.
