Prof Mnyaa urges Mkoani students to maintain academic excellence

DAR ES SALAAM: MKOANI Member of Parliament and Minister for Transport, Prof Makame Mbarawa Mnyaa, has challenged high-performing students to maintain their academic excellence as they transition to secondary school.
Speaking at Uweleni Secondary School during a ceremony to honour 140 Standard Seven graduates, Prof Mnyaa emphasised that while teachers provide guidance, ultimate success depends on personal discipline and hard work.
“I want every student from Mkoani to rank among the top performers in their new schools,” he stated.
“As you enter these new environments, remain dedicated to your studies and uphold the values instilled by your families.”
The Minister also commended teachers and parents for their vital role in the students’ recent success.

Special Seats Legislator for South Pemba, Ms Maryam Said Khamis, lauded Prof Mnyaa’s consistent commitment to the constituency.
To further support the transition, Ms Khamis donated school uniform materials valued at over 4m/-.
Each of the 140 beneficiaries received a mattress, a school bag, uniform materials and 15,000/- in cash to cover tailoring costs.
CCM Mkoani Constituency Chairperson, Omar Ngwali, noted that such support has become a tradition under Prof Mnyaa’s leadership.
Representing the students, Maryam Mohamed and Ibrahim Suleiman expressed their gratitude, noting that the support serves as a major motivation for their future studies.
