Taifa Stars upbeat for bright start in AFCON opener against Nigeria  

RABAT: TANZANIAN envoys, Taifa Stars, are keen for a stellar performance when they face Nigeria in the opening match of the  Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Fez, Morocco, tomorrow, December 23 2025.

Reports from the team’s camp indicate that the Taifa Stars squad is training intensively in the city of Sale, Rabat, with a focus on strengthening technical tactics and improving players’ physical fitness ahead of the prestigious continental tournament.

It has been reported that the team will travel to the city of Fez, located approximately 202 kilometers from Rabat, where they will conduct their final training sessions. The move is aimed at giving players an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the conditions of the stadium that will host the crucial match.
