Tanzania approves 41,500 job positions for 2025/26 

DAR ES SALAAM: THE Tanzanian government has approved 41,500 job positions, including 12,000 vacancies currently available for recruitment for the 2025/2026 financial year.

THE Minister of State in the President’s Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance, Ridhiwani Kikwete revealed today, December 12, 2025,  during his meeting with the media outlets.

He further explained that out of these positions, 5,000 are in the health sector, while 7,000 are teaching positions in science and mathematics subjects.

Adding he said the  interviews for these positions will begin tomorrow, December 13, 2025.

He said the government will continue to ensure that the recruitment process in public institutions, departments, and agencies is transparent and based on merit, in line with the country’s employment policy.
