TAFRA names Nov 28  as a new submission deadline for fertilizer importers

DAR ES SALAAM: TANZANIA Fertilizer Regulatory Authority (TFRA) has announced the extension of the deadline for submission of importation requirements for DAP, Urea, CAN, SA, and NPK fertilizers, which will be sold under the National Fertilizer Subsidy Program for the 2025/2026 cropping season.

Informing all fertilizer traders, farmers, cooperatives unions, and all fertilizer stakeholders in general, the authority noted that the new deadline for submission is on November 28, 2025, at 4:00 pm.

According to information released by TFRA today, November 14, 2025, the requirements will be aggregated and imported through the Fertilizer Bulk Procurement System (BPS) according to the Fertilizer (Bulk Procurement) Regulations of 2017.

The authority further asked all stakeholders and those involved to submit both soft and hard copies through the TFRA Head Office or by email to info@tfra.go.tz and copy to bps@tfra.go.tz.

“The Original Bank Guarantee MUST be submitted in hard copy on or before the submission deadline,” TFRA stated.

TFRA upholds its commitment of partnering with all stakeholders in ensuring the timely availability of quality fertilizer and fertilizer supplements to all farmers in Tanzania at affordable prices.
