Dr Talib Haji sworn in as Zanzibar’s Attorney General

ZANZIBAR: THE President of Zanzibar and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi, has today, November 6th, 2025, sworn in Dr. Mwinyi Talib Haji as the Isles’ Attorney General.

The swearing-in ceremony was held at the State House in Zanzibar and was attended by various leaders from the government, the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), and representatives from religious institutions.

Dr. Mwinyi Talib Haji has been reappointed to continue serving in the same position after performing commendably in the previous term.

Those who attended the ceremony included the Chief Justice of Zanzibar, Khamis Ramadhan Abdallah, Engineer Zena Ahmed Said, who is the Secretary of the Revolutionary Council and Chief Secretary, as well as Heads of Defense and Security Forces.

In his remarks after the ceremony, President Dr. Mwinyi congratulated Dr. Mwinyi Talib Haji for being entrusted once again with this important position, urging him to continue carrying out his duties with integrity, honesty, and strong patriotism for Zanzibar.
