Wasira assures Tanzanians of peaceful General Elections  

MUSOMA: THE Deputy Chairman of the ruling Chama cha Mapinduzi (CCM) for Tanzania Mainland, Stephen Wasira, has assured Tanzanian citizens that the General Elections on October 29th  this year will take place peacefully and safely.

Addressing the party’s leaders and members in Mara region on Thursday, Mr Wasira said, though some international organizations would like to see the current peace in the country disrupted, the Party will stand firm to protect the peace, unity, and solidarity of Tanzanians.

“I assure you that the election will take place on the 29th and in peace,” he stated.

He added, “There are some international organizations that have problems and do not want to see the peace of our country; they are ready to provide money to disrupt our peace, but since CCM is the one still leading the country, peace will abound.”

Moreover, the Deputy Chairman seized the opportunity to urge the youth to refuse being used for the selfish ends of those with ill intent, but instead play the part of protecting and safeguarding the peace of the country.
