Zitto Kabwe cherishes his excellent service as Kigoma Urban MP

KIGOMA: ACT-Wazalendo parliamentary candidate for Kigoma Urban constituency, Zitto Kabwe, claims he has helped restore dignity to the people of the region, who now walk proudly and take pride in identifying themselves as coming from Kigoma during his 15-year tenure at the constituency.
Zitto made these remarks while addressing a campaign rally held at the Mwanga Community Centre grounds in Kigoma town.
He said he has worked to build respect and a sense of humanity among the people of Kigoma, helping them shed the feeling of being second-class citizens.
He stated that, beyond building confidence and helping people become more articulate and assertive, his political career has been devoted to fighting the perception that the people of Kigoma are not full citizens. He called for equality in this matter, similar to how residents of other border regions are treated.

Reflecting on his five-year term as MP for Kigoma Urban (2015–2020), Zitto said with the support of a significant number of councillors and the mayor, they accomplished a great deal including improving Kigoma-Ujiji municipal roads, strengthening local commerce through market construction, and initiating projects that have significantly boosted the local economy.
He added that they have erected billboards across the town to showcase evidence of their work, so as not to be accused of making false claims. He challenged anyone disputing his statements to provide tangible evidence to the contrary.
Earlier, ACT-Wazalendo’s vice-presidential running mate, Fatma Fereji, stated that voters in Kigoma Urban would be making a serious mistake one they would come to regret if they failed to re-elect Zitto Kabwe, as he has been a strong advocate for issues that directly impact their lives.
