Total Energies expands DODO outlets

DAR ES SALAAM: TOTALEnergies Marketing Tanzania is expanding its fuel retail network under the Dealer-Owned Dealer-Operated (DODO) model, which continues to attract growing interest from local entrepreneurs.

The oil marketing company’s latest service station in Kimara, Dar es Salaam, brings to 25 the number of out-lets operating under the model across the country.

The model allows individual investors to build and run stations under the TotalEnergies brand, with the company providing supply, training and operational guidance.

The new Kimara station is run by Godfrey Nyashange, an entrepreneur who spent nearly a decade abroad investing in fuel retail outlets outside the country.

TotalEnergies’ Network Operations Manager, Abdallah Msangi, said the firm will continue to support the government in pushing the clear energy agenda by ensuring the service is close to people.

Additionally, the dealer Mr Nyashange advised the diaspora to invest home in various sectors to boost the country’s economic growth and the nation’s development as a whole.

“You can travel everywhere, but home is home. It’s important to invest at home… the Tanzanian economy must be built by Tanzanians themselves,” he said.

The energies station has some 25 locals.
